3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross (forearm, elbow) will likely be out for the rest of the season, according to Nationals manager Dave Martinez. Ross was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 15 with a flexor pronator strain in his forearm and a partial UCL tear in his elbow. However, after visiting the doctor, it has been determined that he will not require surgery. Ross has had a solid campaign on the mound, posting a 4.17 ERA with a 23.7 K% in 19 starts and 108 IP. It's been an improvement over his past three seasons where he didn't have an ERA below 5.01. Hopefully, he can come back next year and continue where he left off this year.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
