3 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney was one of the biggest surprises of the 2020 NFL season. The sophomore will look to take another leap this year, as he has gotten more comfortable at the NFL level. Newly signed quarterback Andy Dalton said "From what I've seen and what I've heard, I feel like he's taken a huge jump. He's a special player." After a rookie season where he put up 61 receptions for 631 yards and four touchdowns, the former Tulane standout will look to improve in every statistical category with what should be much-improved quarterback play. Whether it is Dalton or rookie Justin Fields throwing the ball, both players should do a better job of getting Mooney the ball when he is open. With 98 targets in his rookie season, the 23-year-old should see an increased role with the departure of Anthony Miller. Allen Robinson is the clear No. 1 receiver in Chicago, but Mooney should still have enough of a role to put up WR3 numbers in fantasy. The breakout candidate is well worth his average draft position of 140.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
