Daniel Bard Earns 20th Save Of The Season
3 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Daniel Bard earned his 20th save of the season when he allowed one hit with a strikeout over a scoreless ninth inning in a 7-5 win over the Padres on Wednesday. Bard made it through the ninth inning with relative ease after allowing a leadoff single to Ha-Seong Kim. He retired the next three batters in order, including a strikeout of Fernando Tatis Jr. The veteran stopper now holds a 4.44 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and 62:21 K/BB ratio over 48 2/3 innings. He's 20-for-27 on save opportunities this season.
