Dom Nunez Cracks A Solo Home Run
3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Nunez gave the Rockies a temporary lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when he took Jake Arrieta deep for a solo home run to make the score 5-4. It was his eighth homer of the season and his only hit of the ball game. The 26-year-old backstop is now batting a meager .176 with a .662 OPS, eight home runs, and 28 RBI across 182 at-bats this season. Elias Diaz is the catcher to roster in Colorado but he's more of a two-catcher league option.
