Marquez Valdes-Scantling Drops Long Pass In Practice
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling did what he's known for by beating a helpless cornerback deep, but then dropping a perfectly placed deep ball in practice. The fourth-year receiver does still hold potential if he can resolve his issues with drops, but that's too unlikely of a gamble for fantasy managers to act on. The speedster might actually be one of the closest comparisons to Kansas City Chiefs superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, except there's that one lingering issue that is seemingly unfixable. Valdes-Scantling warrants a roster spot in dynasty leagues since he is one fix away from being a dominant wideout, but he should remain on waivers in standard-sized leagues to begin the season. Fantasy managers may be tempted to pick up the Packer as a flier, but try to resist the urge. A breakout is extremely improbable.
