Chad Green Locks Down Sixth Save
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green locked down his sixth save of the year Thursday night, allowing one run on one hit in an inning of work. The run came via a solo home run by Miguel Sano, and Green struck out two batters in the outing. Even with Aroldis Chapman back from the injured list, Green looks to be the Yankee reliever to roster. He's received the majority of opportunities of late, and Chapman faltered in his first appearance Wednesday. Green has a 3.13 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP, and 73 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings this season.
