Antonio Gibson Finishes With 47 Total Yards
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson was solid in the team's second preseason game with the limited playing time he was given. Gibson carried the ball seven times for 28 yards and added two receptions for 19 yards. It was encouraging to see the sophomore's usage in this game, as he is clearly the primary ball-carrier and got involved in the passing game. The 23-year-old could be used in a variety of different ways when the regular season begins, as reports out of camp have been that head coach Ron Rivera envisions a role similar to that of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey. The former Memphis standout could put up lower-end RB1 numbers, so fantasy managers should draft him with confidence in the second round.
