Chase Elliott Has Car to Contend at Michigan
3 years agoThis build has been surprisingly kind to Chase Elliott. He has five top ten results in his last six races at Michigan. The No. 9 car even nearly won twice. Elliott may even lead a few more laps than usual (0.95% of the laps in the last three years). This time around, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver does start in second. It may give him a shot at running in some of that cleaner air. Again, remember this is a two-mile track and a 200 lap race. Kansas is kind of a mini-Michigan and Elliott raced from 17th to 5th earlier in the season. It could be an afternoon where Elliott thrives again.
