Brandon Nimmo Remains In Funk At Plate
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 1-for-4 in the Mets 3-2 loss to the Dodgers on Friday. Nimmo, normally an on-base machine for the Mets, has been struggling at the plate recently. Over 77 plate appearances in August, Nimmo is batting just .224/.325/.299 with just one home run, eight runs scored, four RBI, 10 walks, and two doubles. He has seen his on-base percentage drop from .427 (on July 30) to .397 over this period. Nimmo, along with the majority of the Mets offense, has really struggled in August. Fantasy managers may wish to fade Nimmo in the short term until such time that he can get his bat going again. Once he does, he should help managers with ratios (especially OBP) and runs scored in all formats.
