3 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is the favorite to claim the starting role, at least to begin the 2021 campaign. However, nothing has been confirmed yet, with head coach Ron Rivera remaining vague on the topic. Nonetheless, the journeyman is still expected to be under center come Week 1, although Taylor Heinicke has remained in the conversation during training camp. Fitzpatrick will be playing for his ninth NFL club during his 17th year in the league, recently spending two seasons in Miami, where he compiled 33 touchdowns, 21 interceptions, and 5,620 yards.
