Randal Grichuk Swats Two-Run Homer In Win
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk provided most of the team's offense on Saturday as his club defeated the Tigers 3-0. The 30-year-old took Wily Peralta to souvenir city for a two-run homer in the second inning to open up the scoring as he finished the afternoon going 1-for-3. Grichuk has slowed down offensively so far in the second half with a .196 BA and two homers in 16 August games. For the season he sits at a modest 21 HR, 51 runs, 74 RBI, and a .248 BA which is serviceable in most formats, but with his bat seemingly slowing down with every month that passes, there's likely better options for fantasy squads down the stretch run.
