Mitch Haniger Hits 28th Homer In Blowout Loss
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger produced the only run of the day for Seattle against the Houston Astros, hitting a solo home run off starter Jake Odorizzi in a 15-1 blowout loss. It was his only hit in four at-bats. Haniger now has 28 homers on the season, tying him for 11th in the major leagues with four other players. He's put together a tremendous season by any metric, made even greater given how much time he missed in the two seasons prior to 2021. With an .800 OPS, 84 runs, and 71 RBI, he'd finish highly in a fantasy MVP vote based on investment.
