Jacob Eason Throws For 132 Yards
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Jacob Eason played better than rookie quarterback Sam Ehlinger during Saturday's 12-10 preseason Week 2 win. While Eason didn't throw or rush for a touchdown, he was methodical with his passes, completing 16-of-27 attempts for 132 yards. In addition, he avoided turning the ball over, which was huge considering Ehlinger threw two interceptions on consecutive first-half drives. Eason delivered an impressive throw via a 28-yard floater down the left sideline, hitting wide receiver Dezmon Patmon in stride. The second-year quarterback will likely back up Carson Wentz in 2021 and could see playing time in the regular season if Wentz experiences any setbacks rehabbing his foot.
