3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden is still fighting for a roster spot as the team heads into the final week of the preseason. Up to this point, the Washington coaching staff likes what they have seen from the 2020 fourth-round pick. Training camp was a good time to see what the sophomore can do because of the limited playing time he had last season. The former Liberty standout missed 10 games and put up just one catch for three yards, so he still has to prove he is worthy of a roster spot in a deep receiver room. With what Washington wants to do on offense, there could potentially be a role for the 6-foot-4 receiver to play. Head coach Ron Rivera described Gandy-Golden as "a big body who works well with the quarterbacks in terms of the vertical stuff." With Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback, Washington will look to take more shots down the field in 2021, which is something they couldn't do much of last year. Still, he doesn't figure to have any fantasy value as he will likely be buried on the wide receiver depth chart.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
