3 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Jace Sternberger caught only two passes for five yards but one of them went for a touchdown in the Packers preseason loss to the Jets. Sternberger followed up making some strong middle-of-the-field catches last week with a reception in the end zone. Sternberger was posited to be the next TE1 in the Packers offense but has struggled with production in his two years in the league. Green Bay has Robert Tonyan as their TE1 and Mercedes Lewis as the veteran backup, making Sternberger's roster status a bit murky at this time. At the very least, Sternberger has made some plays in the preseason to at least warrant consideration.--Joey C - RotoBaller
