Donovan Solano Plays Hero Sunday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano made his one at-bat count in Sunday's 2-1 win over the A's, going 1-for-2 with a pinch-hit, go-ahead, two-run home run. Solano came up to hit in the eighth inning down a run with a runner on first and two outs and jumped on a first-pitch A.J. Puk fastball, crushing it into the left-field seats. The 33-year-old has a .277/.335/.396 slash line with six HR and 30 RBI on the season. Solano's main source of fantasy value in the past has come from his high batting averages, so his lower average by his standards has limited his fantasy value this season.
