3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Kyle Gibson went eight strong innings against the San Diego Padres Sunday, earning his ninth win of the season. He allowed one run on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts, lowering his season ERA to 3.06. Gibson has seemed like a major candidate for regression all year long, and it simply hasn't come. After a dreadful opening outing in April, Gibson has failed to complete five innings in a start only five times, and he's only failed to complete five innings once.
