3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase recorded his 18th save of the season Sunday by allowing one hit and striking out one in the ninth inning of Sunday's 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Clase has a 0.00 ERA with five saves and 10 strikeouts across 8 2/3 innings pitched in August. He appears to have taken over closer duties for the Tribe, especially after James Karinchak struggled in this one by walking two and allowing a hit in 1/3 of an inning pitched.
