Wayne Gallman II Rushes for 72 Yards In Week 2 Of Preseason
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Wayne Gallman II was the most impressive running back during the 15-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Despite being given four fewer carries than JaMycal Hasty (15), Gallman averaged 4.8 YPC, compared to the 3.0 YPC for Hasty. Gallman spent his first four years in the league with the Giants and had his best year in 2020, filling in for Saquon Barkley, rushing for 682 yards and six touchdowns in 10 starts. He's currently valued as the RB73 in half-PPR formats and could be a great stash if injuries arise in the 49ers backfield. Raheem Mostert and Trey Sermon have generated the most buzz this offseason. Still, Gallman signed a one-year prove-it deal with the 49ers during free agency, suggesting he could be used much more often than fantasy managers care to admit.
