3 years agoDenny Hamlin finished behind the two Hendrick Motorsports cars and Ryan Blaney on Sunday. His fifth-place result was nothing to sneeze at. The 550 HP build just was not kind to him on this day. His pit crew gamely made several adjustments to the No. 11 car. Again, Hamlin did lead ten laps early in the race. Most of those were due to the pit windows of other drivers. Either way, Hamlin still does not have a win this 2021 season and in two weeks, the Chase begins. Then, big results do matter more. Hamlin only has five playoff points going into the second season. How Hamlin races at Daytona may be more telling for what is to come in September.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
