3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and a strikeout in a 6-4 loss to the Chicago Cubs. Cron was the only member of the Rockies to record three hits on Monday. He was instrumental in helping Colorado build an early 4-1 lead with a single and a run scored in the top of the first inning. He also picked up his 20th double of the season later in the contest. The veteran slugger is now slashing .276/.380/.525 with 21 home runs, 71 RBI, and one stolen base over 341 at-bats. It's been a successful, albeit inconsistent, first season in Colorado for Cron.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
