Tyler Mahle Strikes Out Eight Brewers On Tuesday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle picked up a no-decision in a 7-4 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday. Mahle allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings of work while striking out eight and walking one. He got off to a rough start in the game, needing 31 pitches to get through the first inning, but Mahle was able to calm down after that. The veteran hurler was in line for the win when he left, with the Reds leading 3-1, but the bullpen was unable to hold onto the lead. Mahle now has a 10-4 record, 3.69 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 168 strikeouts over 141 1/3 innings of work this year. He will face off against the Miami Marlins next.
