Francisco Lindor Hitless In Return To Lineup
3 years agoOn Tuesday, New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) went 0-for-4 against the San Francisco Giants in his return to the Mets lineup after being activated from the 10-day injured list. Lindor had been sidelined since July 16 due to a Grade 2 oblique strain. It has been a disappointing season for Lindor, his first with the Mets. He is hitting just .225/.322/.371 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 88 games. Just before he was injured, Lindor was beginning to heat up at the plate so, hopefully, he can get his stroke back for a stretch run in September. With a surrounding lineup that now includes Javier Baez, Lindor has plenty of protection which should, theoretically, enable him to get pitches to drive. Fantasy managers should have Lindor active in all formats.
