Joe Burrow To Play Limited Snaps Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters that quarterback Joe Burrow will get some playing time in their preseason game on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. This is encouraging news for the former LSU Tiger, as these will be his first repetitions in a game since the injury. After the Bengals drafted his former No. 1 receiver from his time in college, Burrow is surrounded by a great group of pass-catchers which includes Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. After an impressive rookie season where he threw for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games, the 24-year-old will look to take the leap in his second season as a starter, similar to what we saw from Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Kyler Murray. The offensive line figures to be a bit better, but will still be the weakness of the Cincinnati offense. Against strong opposing defensive lines, Burrow could be in for some tough games, as he faces the Browns, Steelers, and Ravens twice a year. Still, he should be able to produce lower-end QB1 numbers for fantasy managers.
