3 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (hip) was placed on injured reserve with a hip injury, ending his season. Dowdle was expected to open the season as the third running back on the Cowboys depth chart, behind Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. Instead, he'll set his eyes on the 2022 season now. Dowdle drew rave practice reviews all last season, but ended up only carrying the ball seven times for 24 yards in his rookie season. A pair of undrafted free agents, Brenden Knox and JaQuan Hardy, could get their chances now.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
