Jake Latz Has Lackluster MLB Debut
3 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Jake Latz did not produce an ideal MLB debut versus the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. He went 4 2/3 innings, five hits allowed, three earned runs, and four strikeouts in the 7-2 loss. All of the runs charged to Latz were done by the long ball on Wednesday. He gave up three home runs in what is likely going be his only start in Texas. The team is currently dealing with COVID outbreak, but Latz is expected to head to the minors following this outing.
