3 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) is expected to be ready for the start of the season. The 24-year-old is currently dealing with an AC joint issue and has been now for a few weeks. While the team has remained mum on the issue after he has recently been spotted wearing a non-contact jersey at practice, he still is anticipated to be good to go come Week 1. The former Iowa Hawkeye picked up the pace during the 2020 campaign, finishing with 67 catches (101 targets) for 723 yards and six touchdowns, a significant improvement from his first year in the league. He also was a formidable presence inside the red zone. Still, the recent update is somewhat concerning, although he should continue to be viewed as a top-five option at the position, at least for now.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
