3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks Gardner Minshew II and C.J. Beathard are still in close competition for the backup quarterback position behind Trevor Lawrence. Per SI's John Shipley, Minshew has outperformed Beathard consistently in practice, while Beathard has been superior in preseason action. The Jaguars final preseason game on Sunday against the Cowboys could go a long way in determining who wins the job. Neither quarterback is on the fantasy radar right now, but the QB who wins the backup job should be considered in deep superflex leagues. If Minshew were to fall behind Beathard in the pecking order there's a chance that the Jaguars would gauge trade interest around the league.--Casey Kamholz
