Denny Hamlin a Big Question Mark at Daytona
3 years agoDenny Hamlin starts the Saturday night season finale from Daytona in a good position. Third is a solid spot. However, for all the success that Hamlin has had in Florida, there is something to consider. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has finished 17th or worse in four of his last five summer trips to the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway. That is some considerable cause for concern. Hamlin has clinched a playoff spot and does want to at least win a race before the playoffs begin. However, for the No. 11, why risk a win to wreck a car? That rationale and other drivers who are better suited with the 450 hp package may offer more upside than Hamlin.
