Pete Alonso Belts 29th Homer On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Mets 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. While the Mets are plummeting in the standings, Alonso continues to swing a hot bat. Over the past seven games and 29 at-bats, Alonso is batting .379/.419/.690 with three home runs and six RBI. In the month of August, Alonso boasts a .364 on-base percentage with six home runs and 13 RBI. For the season, Alonso is batting .262/.342/.509 with 29 home runs, 17 doubles, and 75 RBI. Alonso should remain active in all fantasy formats, especially while he is, essentially, carrying the Mets offense.
