Matt Chapman Reaches Four Times In Loss To Yankees
3 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman went 2-for-2 with two walks and a solo homer in a loss to the Yankees on Thursday. Chapman crushed a Jameson Taillon offering for a homer that Statcast measured 111 MPH off the bat, Chapman's second-hardest hit ball this season. The veteran third baseman has had his struggles this season, specifically in the strikeout department, but he's been hot lately as he's got a .955 OPS thus far in August. He'll face a tough matchup on Friday, however, as the A's are lined up to face Yankee's ace Gerrit Cole.
