Kirk Cousins Passes For 57 Yards
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 5-of-7 passes for 57 yards in the Vikings final preseason game against the Chiefs. Cousins came out sharp, hitting some nice completions to tight end Irv Smith Jr. for 16 and 23 yards respectively. The 10-play opening drive resulted in a field goal but trouble brewed after that. Cousins took a sack on the next drive and then captained two straight three-and-outs before being pulled for backup Jake Browning. Head coach Mike Zimmer wanted certain starters to get some run in the final preseason game and the results were mixed for Cousins. Offensive line issues could stunt Cousins' value in the early weeks of the regular season.
