Michael Carter Posts Dud In Preseason Finale
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter was fairly sharp through the first two preseason games. However, he struggled to get anything going on the ground during Friday's preseason finale versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Veteran back Tevin Coleman was inactive, which gave extra carries to the other backs fighting for touches behind him. Carter saw seven carries, but finished with a total of 12 yards on the ground in this one. He hauled in his lone target for seven yards through the air, but that won't make up for his terrible outing on the ground. Despite this dud performance, Carter appears stuck in three-back committee. Coleman, Carter, and Ty Johnson are all expected to have a role in Week 1. This is a situation that should be avoided in fantasy formats.
