Dwayne Haskins Struggles In Preseason Start
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins got the start and played extensively in his team's final preseason game. Haskins struggled to move the offense against the Carolina Panthers in the 34-9 loss on Friday. While the Steelers rested most of their starters, the Panthers played many of theirs, resulting in the lopsided score and plenty of issues for Haskins under center. Facing constant pressure from the pass rush, Haskins completed nine of 16 passes for 108 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the contest. It appeared that his day was over in the third quarter but Haskins was forced back into action in the fourth when Josh Dobbs injured his toe. The former Washington Football Team signal-caller is expected to open the season as the QB3 in Pittsburgh.
