3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Jacob Eason saw most of the team's first half reps under center during Friday's 27-17 win over the Detroit Lions in their preseason finale. The second-year quarterback out of Washington played turnover-free football but failed to find the end zone, completing 10-of-14 pass attempts for 74 yards. Eason had an opportunity to hit rookie wide receiver Mike Strachan in the left corner of the end zone but failed to convert it, which led to the Colts settling for a field goal. Overall, Eason looked the part of a competent backup to Carson Wentz, assuming Wentz will be on the field against the Seattle Seahawks for Week 1.--Matt MacKay - RotoBaller
