3 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson carried 10 times for 81 yards and hauled in his lone target for a three-yard touchdown reception during Friday's 27-17 preseason finale win against the Detroit Lions. The undrafted rookie running back out of Duke averaged 8.1 YPC, scored a three-yard receiving touchdown, and rushed for a two-point conversion attempt immediately after to tie the game at 17. He outplayed second-year running back Benny LeMay, who saw 11 carries and two targets but failed to produce as efficiently as Jackson against the Lions on Friday. With Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines, Marlon Mack, and Jordan Wilkins comprising the main contributors in the backfield, it's likely only Jackson or LeMay make the final 53-man roster after this weekend, with Jackson putting on a better performance.--Matt MacKay - RotoBaller
