3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto isn't in the team's lineup on Saturday for a matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks and right-handed starter Humberto Mejia. Realmuto is batting .263 with a .351 on-base percentage, 14 home runs, and eight stolen bases in 422 plate appearances this season. The 28-year-old will get the day off on Saturday with Rafael Marchan starting in his place behind the dish and batting eighth. Marchan has seven hits in 24 plate appearances for the Phillies this season but had a .191 batting average in 223 plate appearances for the organization's Triple-A affiliate this season.
