Anthony DeSclafani Pulled Early In Return Start Sunday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani lasted just 3 innings in Sunday's 9-0 loss to the Braves. DeSclafani was activated from the injured list prior to Sunday's start after dealing with a right ankle sprain. He allowed three runs on six hits (including two home runs) and no walks with four strikeouts. He did exit the game alongside the trainer, but manager Gabe Kapler stated that the plan was to use Sammy Long in tandem with DeSclafani. The 31-year-old is now 11-6 with a 3.38 ERA. He is currently not listed as day-to-day, but fantasy managers should keep an eye out for further news. If DeSclafani does take his next turn in the rotation he will face the Dodgers, a team he has done very poorly against this season. Either way, fantasy managers may want to sit him.
