3 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) has had a rough start with his new team after having almost no practice time this offseason. The only work he has under his belt is individual drills on the sidelines, as he is yet to be a full participant at practice. The former Carolina Panther reunited with head coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Scott Turner when he signed in Washington, so the familiarity he has with the coaching staff could factor into the reasoning behind easing him back into things. "It's not a deal where we try to get him back too soon," Turner said. "So just get him back to full speed and where he's ready to go and we hit the ground running and he stays healthy." This is an injury that can tend to linger if not rehabbed properly, so the extended time on the sidelines for Samuel shouldn't be a surprise. The 25-year-old should be ready for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, so his fantasy outlook shouldn't be drastically changed. He remains in the WR3/4 range because of his projected significant role in the offense.--Tommy Adamopoulos - RotoBaller
