3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers will try and stay hot heading into the team's series against the Mariners beginning Monday night. The 25-year-old was called up on August 1 and all he has done all month is hit. Meyers has hits in 11 of his last 12 starts and is slashing .324/.347/.529 through 68 at-bats with three home runs, five doubles, 10 runs scored and 15 runs batted in. Meyers is basically gripping-and-ripping right now (22 strikeouts, only two walks) but as long as he continues to hit, he will find a place in the Astros potent offensive lineup.--Joey C - RotoBaller
