Washington Releases Isaiah Wright
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team has released wide receiver Isaiah Wright as they begin to make cuts to their roster. This will not be the last move they make, as teams must trim their roster to 53 players before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Wright was leapfrogged by Dax Milne as a punt returner, and with a loaded receiver room in Washington, the 24-year-old was the odd man out. He finished his rookie season with 27 receptions for 197 yards and three rushing attempts for 16 yards, so he could potentially be picked up by a team in need of a versatile receiver with punt returning abilities. The sophomore can be disregarded in fantasy because even if he were to sign somewhere, he would likely have a very limited role in the offense.
