Trevor Story Goes Yard Twice On Monday
3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, and two strikeouts in a 4-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday. Story simply was the Rockies' offense on Monday, swatting a pair of home runs as Colorado's comeback fell short. He swatted his first homer, a solo shot, in the top of the seventh inning before smacking a two-run shot in the top of the eighth off Spencer Patton. Story had been struggling mightily at the dish over the last 15 contests, slashing a meager .196/.281/.490, so hopefully, this game will get him going. The 28-year-old shortstop is now slashing .249/.326/.462 with 18 home runs, 61 RBI, and 17 stolen bases over 422 at-bats.
