3 years agoThe San Francisco Giants claimed pitcher Jose Quintana off waivers from the Angels on Monday. Quintana signed a one-year deal with the Angels this season, but compiled a 6.75 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over 53 1/3 innings pitched while dealing with shoulder inflammation. The 32-year-old was great in the beginning of his career, so the Giants are likely hoping to turn him around as they have done so with many pitchers over the past couple seasons. It remains to be seen how the Giants intend to utilize Quintana, but fantasy managers should avoid him at this point in the season regardless.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
