3 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Dazz Newsome was waived by the team on Tuesday. The sixth-round rookie not making the Week 1 roster is a surprise despite reports that the team will try and sign him to the practice roster. Newsome enjoyed a solid offseason but broke his collarbone at the end of mini-camp and was behind schedule during training camp. Newsome must clear waivers before the Bears can bring him back and questions remain on the Bears special teams as to who will be returning punts against the Rams on September 12.--Joey C - RotoBaller
