Jaguars Release Phillip Dorsett II
3 years agoFormer Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Phillip Dorsett II was released on Tuesday. Dorsett's release is surprising, to say the least, as he was expected to provide a vertical element within the offense as the team's fourth wideout. The speedster will likely get an opportunity with another receiver-needy team shortly, and Detroit is a possible landing spot. Dorsett's departure opens the door for Collin Johnson and/or Tavon Austin to make the Jaguars roster, but the fourth wide receiver spot on the depth chart is very uncertain at this point in time. Dorsett isn't likely to be fantasy-relevant in 2021, but he could make an impact somewhere if things break the right way.
