Jaret Patterson “Can Be Pretty Special”
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Jaret Patterson has drawn some high praise from the team's general manager, Martin Mayhew. The undrafted free agent did enough throughout camp and the preseason to earn himself a spot on the 53-man roster, as he beat out Peyton Barber for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart. "He's an explosive guy. He has really good vision. He brings a lot to the table," Mayhew said. Patterson will likely have limited playing time early on in the season, so he can be left off fantasy rosters in redraft formats for now. Nonetheless, the former Buffalo collegiate star is worth a roster spot in dynasty leagues. If Antonio Gibson or J.D. McKissic were to miss any time, the rookie's fantasy value would skyrocket in redraft leagues. He would likely be one of the hottest commodities on the waiver wire if this were to happen.
