3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (knee) will be the designated hitter and bat leadoff on Wednesday against Matt Harvey and the Baltimore Orioles. The 31-year-old had to be removed as a precaution from Tuesday's game due to soreness in his injured knee, just one day after he was activated from the 10-day injured list. Springer has been slow to rebound from the injury, going 1-for-6 at the plate since returning from IL. He has, however, hit a home run off of Harvey this season and regularly makes contact when facing the right-hander.--Chelena Goldman
