Kyle Freeland Exits Early With Left Hip Impingement
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland was given a no-decision on Wednesday after walking a pair of batters and striking out one over one-plus inning. He made it through the first inning without issues, although he did walk a batter. He then came back out for the second inning and walked the first batter he faced before exiting early. That run came around to score and his injury was later described as a left hip impingement by the team. The move to take him out of the game was precautionary in nature but it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next start or not. The 28-year-old southpaw owns a 4.22 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 81:25 K/BB ratio over 91 2/3 innings (18 starts) on the year.
