Mark Canha Snaps Slump With Homer At Detroit On Thursday
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Mark Canha went 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in a win over the Tigers on Thursday. Canha launched a solo homer in the first inning as the second half of back-to-back homers with Jed Lowrie. The veteran outfielder also walked twice in this game which he will need to do more often to regain his position atop the A's batting order. Canha posted a strong .375 on-base percentage in the first half, but he's fallen on hard times and got on base at just a .274 rate in August, which led to a demotion in the lineup. He's still a start-worthy outfielder in 12-team fantasy leagues and larger and will look to carry this momentum into a big weekend series in Toronto.
