3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo isn't in the lineup on Thursday. The Red Sox will take on the Tampa Bay Rays and left-hander Shane McClanahan, but will do so with one of their best hitters on the bench. Verdugo is batting .286 with a .353 on-base percentage, 12 home runs, and six stolen bases in 515 plate appearances this season. Boston is starting J.D. Martinez, Danny Santana, and Hunter Renfroe from left to right in the outfield. Martinez is likely rostered in most leagues, but Renfroe, who is batting leadoff on Thursday, could be a quality streaming option.
